The Weekly Roundup is a feature offered to my readers in addition to my regular articles. The Roundup is a collection of mostly recent articles you probably haven’t seen by writers you may not have read. The main intent is to expose readers to a reasonable amount of hopefully new information in the hope this will encourage some to explore further and develop a deeper understanding of the issues that shape our society and ultimately determine our way of life. We start off this week with some good news from the Trump administration regarding the Second Amendment. It’s not quite break out the party hats and polka records good news, but it is cause for optimism. AWR Hawkins has the details in the following three stories:

While we may have a promising new Director leading the ATF, he still heads a grotesque organization that should be abolished as evidenced by the continuing saga of Tate Adamiak. Lee Williams has been one of the very few in the media covering this story and trying to help this obviously innocent man break free of the clutches of the ATF and a corrupt justice system. Lee Williams presents the latest chapter in the Tate Adamiak story describing something many of us wouldn’t believe possible in America. Misinformation has always been the primary tool of the anti-gun left as their arguments quickly unravel when confined to facts. Lee Williams has the latest example in Fearing expanding gun rights, anti-gun group creates absurd concealed-carry policy.

The weekly meme is chosen from dozens posted in the Week in Pictures originally created by Steven Hayward and for a time carried on by his colleague John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog. Hayward and Hinderaker have now decided to alternate their WIP duties each week. Welcome back Steven! Powerline features excellent reporting and analysis of American politics and culture. I’ve been reading the work of Hayward and his colleagues for over fifteen years.
