Weekly Roundup # 18
A collection of interesting articles you may not have seen by authors you may not have read
The Weekly Roundup is a feature offered to my readers in addition to my regular articles. The Roundup is a collection of mostly recent articles you probably haven’t seen by writers you may not have read. The intent is to provide some interesting reading for you while providing some exposure for some great writers. Enjoy!
We in California are well acquainted with the danger posed by incompetent, activist judges (the 9th Circuit under which California falls is infested with them) however these judges are also busy harming law-abiding Americans even in free states like Florida. Lee Williams covers one woman’s plight in “Your Husband or Your Guns – Part 2” where a crackpot judge ordered her to choose between her husband and her Second Amendment rights.
You may be able to go “full auto” but is it worth it? Mike McDaniel examines the options and the ATF’s view of things in “Glock Switches: let the buyer beware”.
Knowledge is power, lack of knowledge is something else. Why do law-abiding Americans have to engage in a constant fight to protect a right that is guaranteed by the Constitution? Part of the answer may be in the results of a recent Rasmussen Reports survey showing most Americans believe the main purpose of the Second Amendment is to ensure personal protection.
Racism and discrimination have traditionally been tools of the left and the Democratic party and nothing has changed for the rulers of California. In 2023 SCOTUS ruled that colleges could not discriminate based on race. In 1996 Californians passed Prop 209 which amended the state constitution to read “the state shall not discriminate against or grant preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin”. The California legislature now wants to grant Governor Newsom the power to “make exceptions” so targeted groups or people can be discriminated against. Read about the efforts to stop this latest attack on the people of California here.
