If you read through the coverage of the trial it looks like the judge was trying to make decisions in accordance with the law and the rules of the court in a very political, very high visibility trial. We don't often see that kind of behavior by the courts in those types of trials. The judge's behavior is what led me to the opinion that he seems to be an honest judge.
